December 21st is the longest night of the year. The day with the most darkness. It seems fitting that we celebrate the Light of the World coming into this darkness near this darkest day. For many, Christmas time is a season of joy and celebration. This special worship service has in mind those for whom Christmas is especially hard. This service will make space for those in the midst of grief, sadness, hardship, loss, and more. The goal is not to dwell in our grief, but instead to make a place where it is okay to say, “I’m not in a festive spirit.” And, most importantly, to point to the light that is born among us. Christmas can be really hard. So, let’s name this reality and look to Jesus to speak His life into it.
There will be two services- one at noon (which will be livestreamed) and one at 7 pm.
