PRINCE OF PEACE LUTHERAN CHURCH

To help you prepare

What to expect when you visit

We Are Glad you're here

We understand that choosing where to worship is a big deal. Finding the right fit can be hard. And stepping into a new place can be intimidating. Please know that we will do our best to make you feel welcomed and loved.

Here are some answers to commonly asked questions.

Our Modern Worship service begins at 9:00. We have a Coffee House time beginning at 8:45 am. Come and enjoy the atmosphere, grab some coffee, and allow us to introduce you to some people – including our pastor. This worship service is in the Life Center. It is well marked, but as you head from your car in the parking lot it is the building on the North side (right side). Come on in and make yourself at home.

For our 11:15 Traditional Liturgy you can join us anywhere between 11:00 to 11:15. The organ prelude begins around 11:00 and provides a reflective setting to prepare your heart and mind for worship. This worship service is in the Sanctuary. Enter the doors under the porte-cochere, and the sanctuary is directly ahead.

Expect to encounter the Living God. Through His Word, the sacraments of Communion and Baptism, sacred music, biblical preaching, and fellowship with the people of God. We are far from perfect. But, each week we gather expecting that the touch of God would grace us again. Our intention is to be a loving community. We hope to see with the eyes of Jesus. That means we work hard to see you with the eyes of Jesus—to see the very best in you.

Each Sunday from September to May we meet for Sunday School from 10:10-11:10. There are classes for all ages. Our grade schoolers and younger gather in the Confirmation Room where they learn Bible stories, hear and sing songs, do an activity and enjoy a snack together. Middle and high school students meet with Ms. Paula in the YouthZone. There is also an adult opportunity with Pastor Scott in the choir room. We would love to have you join us.

We love children at Prince of Peace. We believe that our responsibility as a church is to support and encourage you to live into your God given role as parents. If you have infants—we love to have them in worship with us—and all the noises of praise that they make. However, our nursery is available if you need. The life and ministry of our congregation has a heart for children and youth. We offer many opportunities to love children deeper into the kingdom of God.

There are a wide range of events and activities that we do throughout the week and month. You can check out our Events tab in the above menu for an up to date list. During the school year we have Wednesday Night Ministry which includes specific programing for ages 3 years old up to 99.

There is no dress code. Our modern worship service at 9:00 is a bit more casual. At the traditional service at 11:15 people usually wear Sunday Casual. In all of this, come as you are. We believe that God looks at the inside—we try to do the same.

The 9:00 modern worship service is lead by a praise band with drums, guitars, keyboard, clapping, and a variety of music. The 11:15 service is lead by our organ and includes the great hymns of the church as well as liturgical songs each week.

Prince of Peace is a modern church with a rich tradition. Our beliefs center around our faith in Jesus Christ as God’s only Son, who died and rose again for our salvation. We are a part of the rich history of the Lutheran church and are members of the North American Lutheran Church.

We are governed by the leadership of our pastor and our church council. Certain matters require congregational vote.

We Can't wait to greet you!

We are passionate about helping you take the next step in your faith

We feel called to meet the deepest need of your heart as best we can. And connect you further with the one who knit your heart together in the first place
