Welcome to Prince of Peace

September 27, 2020

Tune your Radio to 90.9

There are three ways for you to follow along and participate with worship in the parking lot. You can use this webpage on your phone, download the order and print it at home, or pick up your copy of the worship order as you pull into worship.

Words of Welcome

Oh, That the Lord Would Guide My Ways

Oh, that the Lord would guide my ways
To keep his statues still!
Oh, that my God would grand me grace
To know and do His will!

Order my footsteps by your Word
And make my heart sincere;
Let sin have no dominion, Lord,
But keep my conscience clear.

Assist my soul, too apt to stray,
A stricter watch to keep
And should I e’er forget your way,
Restore your wand’ring sheep.

Make me to walk in your commands,
’Tis a delightful road;
Nor let my head or heart or hands
Offend against my God.

Prayer

How Beautiful ~ Duet

Confession

Open Up The Heavens

We’ve waited for this day
We’re gathered in Your Name
Calling out to You
Your glory like a fire awakening desire
Will burn our hearts with truth

You’re the reason we’re here
You’re the reason we’re singing

Chorus

Open up the heavens we want to see You
Open up the floodgates a mighty river
Flowing from Your heart
Filling every part of our praise

You’re the reason we’re here
You’re the reason we’re singing

Your presence in this place Your glory on our face
We’re looking to the sky
Descending like a cloud You’re standing with us now
Lord unveil our eyes

You’re the reason we’re here
You’re the reason we’re singing

Philippians 2:1-13

Here’s My Heart, Lord

Here’s my heart Lord
Here’s my heart Lord
Here’s my heart Lord
Speak what is true

‘Cause I am found I am Yours
I am loved I’m made pure
I have life I can breathe
I am healed I am free

‘Cause You are strong You are sure
You are life You endure
You are good always true
You are light breaking through

Here’s my heart Lord
Here’s my heart Lord
Here’s my heart Lord
Speak what is true
Here’s my life Lord
Here’s my life Lord
Here’s my life Lord
Speak what is true
Speak what is true
Speak what is true

You are more than enough
You are here You are love
You are hope You are grace
You’re all I have You’re everything

Matthew 21:28-32

Sermon

Psalm 25:1-10

To you, O Lord, I lift up my soul.
O my God, in you I trust;
    let me not be put to shame;
    let not my enemies exult over me.
Indeed, none who wait for you shall be put to shame;
    they shall be ashamed who are wantonly treacherous.

Make me to know your ways, O Lord;
    teach me your paths.
Lead me in your truth and teach me,
    for you are the God of my salvation;
    for you I wait all the day long.

Remember your mercy, O Lord, and your steadfast love,
    for they have been from of old.
Remember not the sins of my youth or my transgressions;
    according to your steadfast love remember me,
    for the sake of your goodness, O Lord!

Good and upright is the Lord;
    therefore he instructs sinners in the way.
He leads the humble in what is right,
    and teaches the humble his way.
All the paths of the Lord are steadfast love and faithfulness,
    for those who keep his covenant and his testimonies.

Apostles’ Creed in Song
This I Believe

Our Father everlasting
The all creating One
God Almighty
Through Your Holy Spirit
Conceiving Christ the Son
Jesus our Savior

I believe in God our Father
I believe in Christ the Son
I believe in the Holy Spirit
Our God is three in One
I believe in the resurrection
That we will rise again
For I believe in the Name of Jesus

Our judge and our defender
Suffered and crucified
Forgiveness is in You
Descended into darkness
You rose in glorious life
Forever seated high

I believe in You
I believe You rose again
I believe that Jesus Christ is Lord

I believe in life eternal
I believe in the virgin birth
I believe in the saints’ communion
And in Your holy Church
I believe in the resurrection
When Jesus comes again
For I believe in the Name of Jesus

Benediction

When Peace, Like a River

When peace, like a river,
Attendeth my way;
When sorrows, like sea billows, roll;
Whatever my lot, thou hast taught me to say,
It is well, it is well with my soul.

Though Satan should buffet,
Though trials should come,
Let this blest assurance control,
That Christ hath regarded my helpless estate
And hath shed his own blood for my soul

He lives— oh, the bliss of this
glorious thought;
My sin, not in part, But the whole,
Is nailed to his cross And I bear it no more.
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, O my soul

And, Lord, haste the day
When our faith shall be sight,
The clouds be rolled back As a scroll,
The trumpet shall sound, and the Lord shall descend;
Even so it is well with my soul.
