From this foundation we seek to serve and love you to help you grow in your relationship with the Father. And we want to have fun doing this all together. So join us in God’s work in this world. From the Heart of the Father

Pastoral leadership is a calling into the office of Word and Sacrament Ministry. This means that of all the things a pastor is called upon for, preaching the Good News of Jesus and presiding over the mysteries of God’s work through water, bread, and wine takes precedence. Loving and serving Christ and assisting in the growth and maturation of God’s people at Prince of Peace (and beyond) is our joy. Any one of us would be thrilled to set a time to sit and talk with you about what is going on in your life and ways to further our faith and dependence upon Jesus for daily life.

Our PEOPLE

Pastor Scott Ness came to Prince of Peace in 2019. He lives intentionally as a disciple of Jesus; fails often; and works to not take himself too seriously. He is a strategic thinker who loves to make difficult theological truths accessible. He and his wife, Deanna, have 6 children.

Ms. Johanna serves as Prince of Peace’s volunteer secretary. Her faith in Christ and servant heart is a blessing to the people of Prince of Peace. She ensures that things run smoothly at church as well as being a vital aspect of caring for our members.

Ms. Paula leads youth toward the Lord all year long. With a heart of gold she tirelessly loves on, teaches, encourages, and engages our youth. Each summer she coordinates and leads College and High School Mission Trips.

Ms. Meredith joyfully teaches the love of Jesus to our youngsters. An elementary school teacher of 12 years, she meets the kids at their level to share God’s Word through service projects, games, music, and art. She and her husband, Drew, have two children.

Dr. Pat has a heart for Jesus and a gift for music. Her skill and talent is on full display as she leads the congregation in hymn singing and the Peace Choir. Music is such a vital part of our worship–and life in Christ–and Dr. Pat is a gift as she undergirds our praise with the organ.

These two are saints. For years & years they have taken seriously their stewardship of our church facilities. With love & devotion they continue to clean, set up, and care for Prince of Peace and our people. Their joy-filled hearts and willingness to go above and beyond are a gift to us all.

Church Council

The council is comprised of elected members of the congregation, the Senior Pastor, the Youth Ministry Director, and the Children’s Ministry Leader. Each elected position serves a three-year term and strives to support Prince of Peace in their specific ministry area.

If you are interested in serving on the council or volunteering in a ministry area, please reach out to the council representative below. Council meetings are also open to church members on the third Thursday of each month at 7 pm.
