Yesterday the Ness house did the first of Prince of Peace’s Taking Faith Home Object Lessons. The picture above shows a little of our experiment as we made rainbows out of M&Ms. What a blessing it was to have a good and honest conversation about how the many different colors add to the beauty of the rainbow. Our Youth leadership put these objects lessons together 2 weeks ago. And yet they speak so clearly to some of the elements that are playing
You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.

out all around us. The main point of the lesson is that we all have a mission to carry out–one of the focus’ of this coming Sunday’s Gospel lesson. And, as the questions with the object lesson help us unpack, that mission is to color the world with love–for your love of God, others, and self adds to the beauty all around us. My hope is that our families utilize these taking faith home packets. We think they will be a blessing.
Why should the children have all the fun, though? Right? So, if you are interested, looking for something to do, or want to get a glimpse of what our children are learning about this Summer, I invited you to download these object lessons and questions
These packets–along with other worksheets, crafts, and other elements–were delivered to the homes of our children this past weekend. But, I thought it would be fun to share the object lessons with everyone–as I think they may help all of us engage in deeper conversations and grow our faith together.
