Welcome to Worship this morning. We are so glad that you have joined us–in our parking lot, live on facebook, or via the video below posted after worship. Today we are excited to celebrate with our students and teachers as we bless them at the start of another school year.
Due to some technical difficulties, this Sunday’s worship is only available at this link. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

The Churches One Foundation
The Church’s one foundation
Is Jesus Christ her Lord
She is His new creation
By water and the Word
From heav’n He came and sought her
To be His holy bride
With His own blood He bought her
And for her life He died
Elect from every nation
Yet one o’er all the earth
Her charter of salvation
One Lord one faith one birth
One holy name she blesses
Partakes one holy food
And to one hope she presses
With every grace endued
Though with a scornful wonder
Men see her sore oppressed
By schisms rent asunder
By heresies distressed
Yet saints their watch are keeping
Their cry goes up how long
And soon the night of weeping
Shall be the morn of song
Through toil and tribulation
And tumult of her war
She waits the consummation
Of peace forevermore
Till with the vision glorious
Her longing eyes are blest
And the great Church victorious
Shall be the Church at rest
Yet she on earth has union
With God the Three in One
And mystic sweet communion
With those whose rest is won
O blessed heavenly chorus!
Lord, save us by your grace,
That we, like saints before us,
May see you face to face.
Call to Worship from Psalm 138
We gather for worship, and with our whole heart: We give you Thanks
For your steadfast love and faithfulness: We give you Thanks
For the Beauty of your Word and your answers to our prayer: We give you Thanks
For our King who in the highest who regards the lowly: We give you Thanks
For your preservation of our life as we walk in the midst of trouble: We give you Thanks
To you, O God, who will fulfill your purpose fo us: We give you Thanks
Comfort, Comfort Now My People
Comfort, comfort now my people;
Tell of peace! So says our God.
Comfort those who sit in darkness
Mourning under sorrow’s load.
To God’s people now proclaim
That god’s pardon waits for them!
Tell them that their war is over;
God will reign in peace forever!
For the heals voice is crying
In the desert far and near,
Calling us to true repentance,
Since the kingdom now is here.
Oh, that warning cry obey!
Now prepare for God a way!
Let the valley’ rise to meet him
And the hills bow down to greet him!
Straight shall be what long was crooked,
And the rougher places plain!
Let your hearts be true and humble.
As befits his holy reign.
For the glory o the Lord
Now on earth is shed abroad,
And all flesh shall see the token
That God’s word is never broken.
Confession
The King of Love My Shepherd Is
The King of love my shepherd is,
Whose goodness faith never;
I nothing lack if I am his
And he is mine forever
Where streams of living water flow,
My ransomed soul he leadeth
And, where the verdant pastures grow,
With food celestial feedeth
Perverse and foolish oft I strayed,
But yet in love he sought me,
And on his shoulder gently laid,
And home, rejoicing, brought me.
In death’s dark vale I fear no ill,
With thee, dear Lord, beside me,
Thy rod and staff my comfort still;
Thy cross before to guide me.
Though spreadst a table in my sight;
Thine unction grace bestoweth;
And oh what transport of delight
From thy pure chalice floweth!
And so, through all the length of days,
Thy goodness faileth never.
Good Shepherd, may I sing thy praise
Within thy house forever.

Sermon
My Hope is Built on Nothing Less
My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus’ blood and righteousness
No merit of my own I claim
But wholly lean on Jesus’ name
CHORUS On Christ the solid Rock I stand All other ground is sinking sand
When darkness hides His lovely face
I rest on His unchanging grace
In every high and stormy gale
My anchor holds within the veil
His oath, His covenant, His blood
Support me in the raging flood
When all supports are washed away,
He then is all my hope and stay
When He shall come with trumpet sound
Oh may I then in Him be found
Clothed in His righteousness alone
Redeemed to stand before the throne
Communion
Peace Choir Benediction

That proceeds
From the mouth of God
Allelu alleluia

Knock and the door
Shall be opened unto you

Postlude by Dr. Pat
As you return home, we ask that you pass under the Porte Cochere. It will be a different type of receiving line than we are used to, but Pastor Scott will be there to say goodbye.
Also, as you leave the parking lot there will be a place for you to leave your offering. We can’t say enough how blessed Prince of Peace continues to be by your generous support of our ministries. Thank You!
